Air Conditioning & Duct Cleaning
Thank you for viewing our page that is dedicated to taking care of your HVAC (air conditioning) system. We are very excited to be able to offer this service.
We spent many years researching duct cleaning and looking at the different air conditioning cleaning methods and machinery available for cleaning AC ducts. We started out by cleaning our own homes and the results quickly made us all believers in this service. We then acquired training and certification through the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) and currently are the only NADCA certified company in the Rim Country. When duct cleaning is done right, it can improve your indoor air quality and at Sunshine Cleaning & Restoration, we don’t do something unless we can do it right!
Methods of Duct Cleaning
There are two main methods for duct cleaning and HVAC systems. Rotary brush and source removal (or push pull). Rotary brush uses basically a large shop-vac with a rotating brush on the end of it. The idea behind it is the brush dislodges the soil in your AC duct lines and hopefully the vacuum hose retrieves it.
The preferred method is the source removal or push pull. This method places the entire air conditioning system under a negative pressure using a large specially designed HEPA vacuum. Once the air conditioning ducts are placed under negative pressure, rotating brushes or compressed air is used to dislodge and push dust and contaminates one duct at a time through your entire air conditioning system to the HEPA vacuum.
